DIECAST FORD MUSTANG MARCH I BOND VEHICLE

Diamonds Are Forever (1971) is the seventh spy film of the British James Bond series and the sixth to star Sean Connery as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. The film is based on Ian Fleming's 1956 novel of the same name, and is the second of four James Bond films directed by Guy Hamilton. The story has Bond impersonating a diamond smuggler to infiltrate a smuggling ring, and soon uncovering a plot by his former nemesis Blofeld to use the diamonds and build a giant laser satellite that would be used to hold the world to ransom.

Diamonds Are Forever was a commercial success, but its humorous tone was met with mixed reviews by critics.

The Ford Mustang Mach 1 was a performance model of the Ford Mustang that Ford produced beginning in 1969. The original production run of the Mach 1 ended in 1979 because the Mustang II coupe was being phased out in favor of newer Mustangs on the Fox body platform.

The Mach 1 returned in 2003 as a high performance version of the Mustang. The Mach 1 was discontinued again after the 2004 model year as the SN-95 platform was replaced by the newer S197 platform for the 2005 model year.

The name "mach 1" as used by Ford was originally introduced in 1959 on a concept "Levacar" originally shown in the Ford Rotunda. This concept "vehicle" utilized a cushion of air as propulsion on a circular dais. This concept vehicle was orange and white.

The 1971 Mach 1 Mustang was featured in the James Bond Film, Diamonds Are Forever (1971). In this film, the Mach 1 was the first vehicle ever filmed to feature the now-famous 'two-wheeled tilt' stunt (driven by stunt driver 'Bumps' Willard) as Bond escapes from pursuing Las Vegas police. One of the stunt cars used in the Bond film was later featured as Jan Michael Vincent's car in the Charles Bronson film 'The Mechanic'.Unfortunately for the Mach 1 (as well as Vincent's character), in its only appearance in the movie, the car was demolished by a bomb planted inside as retaliation by Bronson's character. BMW 750i - THE DEFINITIVE BOND COLLECTION

Tomorrow Never Dies, released in 1997, is the eighteenth spy film in the James Bond series, and the second to star Pierce Brosnan as MI6 agent James Bond. Bruce Feirstein was credited as writing the screenplay, although it received input from several writers, and it was directed by Roger Spottiswoode. It follows Bond as he tries to stop a media mogul from engineering world events and starting World War III.

The film was produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, and was the first James Bond film made after the death of producer Albert R. Broccoli. Tomorrow Never Dies performed well in the box office despite mixed reviews. While its domestic box office surpassed Golden Eye, it was the only Pierce Brosnan Bond film not to open at number one at the box office since it opened the same day as Titanic.

BMW 7 Series car from Tomorrow Never Dies

This BMW 750i found fame in the Tomorrow Never Dies film during that amazing underground car park scene. This is a rather nice model of the stylish BM, with some good detail touches in its own right, including well replicated lights and interior. But best of all is the two stage sunroof missile launcher. Press it once and the roof flips open, press it again and the missiles shoot a fair way. See more

DAKTARI LAND ROVER & FIGURES

“Daktari” (a language of Swahilee, means Doctor of medicine) It was a story of a veterinarian who learnt a behavior of the animal in order to help every kind of animal in West Africa. Daktari was a television series that aired on CSB from 1966-1969. The show had distinctive accompanying music that was a fusion of jazz and African influences. Jazz drummer Shelly Manne contributed music; he released an affiliated record, Daktari: Shelly Manne Performs and Conducts His Original Music for the Hit TV Show, on the Atlantic Records label in 1968. According to the liner notes on the album, Manne and his fellow percussionists play ankle and wrist jingles, Thailand mouth organs, aungloongs, ocarinas, vibraphones, tympani, and different kinds of marimba

The die-cast Land Rover from the cinema TV, a set of Daktari was produced in China by Corgi Classic Ltd. The Length is 9.8 cm. The original Corgi company never made another safari toy, but in 1998, new Corgi issued a commemorative Daktari set. No.07104 included the old 1/43rd scale Land Rover, but the wheels are different, and the rear window in the cab is larger. The black stripes are bolder, as are the Wameru transfers, which are now on the pick-up sides. Included with the vehicle are very good models of Judy the chimp and Clarence with his glasses. The box is particularly pleasing, with Daktari logo, Clarence artwork, publicity stills and photos of a Land Rover on Safari. Although it’s not a limited edition, it may prove a little harder to find than its contemporaries. Buy it now

CORGI 1/36 THE ITALIAN JOB THREE PIECES MINI SET

The Italian Job is a 2003 heist film, directed by F. Gary Gray. The film stars Jason Statham, Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron, Edward Norton, Seth Green, Mos Def and Donald Sutherland. Though it is a remake of the original 1969 film of the same name starring Michael Caine, it has an almost entirely different plot and characters. The film garnered generally favorable reviews, with most critics saying that though it lacked the wit of the original, it was still a fun ride. It was nominated for a total of nine awards, winning four.

A gang of robbers, lead by career criminal Charlie Croker, create the largest traffic jam in Los Angeles history, giving them time to pull off a theft of gold bullion. They get away in their Mini Coopers, which are small enough to drive on sidewalks so they can make a clean get away before the traffic jam clears. (Written by Mark Cameron)

Careering across the roofs, and down through the sewers and marble staircases of Turin, this trio of Minis made an unforgettable spectacle in the 1969 comedy classic, the Italian Job. Reproduced under license from Paramount Pictures, these 1/36 scale replicas capture the stye and fun of the originals, so excitingly caught on celluloid. A very nice set.

THE GENERAL LEE FROM THE DUKES OF HAZZARD

The General Lee is the automobile driven by the Duke cousins Bo and Luke in the television series The Dukes of Hazzard and was rented to them by Andrew Lane for filming. It is known for the chases and stunts, especially high jumps, in almost every episode, and for having the doors welded up, leaving the Dukes to climb in and out through the windows. The car appears in all but one episode of the series (the third broadcast, Mary Kaye's Baby). The car's name is a reference to the Confederate General Robert E. Lee, and indeed the vehicle embodies the Southern United States, bearing as it does a Confederate flag on its roof and a horn which plays a bar from the song "Dixie".

The idea for the General Lee was developed from the famous bootlegger Jerry Rushing's car, which was named for General Lee's favorite horse, Traveler. Traveler was also the name of the car in Moonrunners, the 1975 movie precursor to The Dukes of Hazzard.
